Manufactured Homes
Factory-built in the U.S. to a Federal standard known as the HUD Code, these homes are single-story and towed to site in sections on wheels by a "wide load" permit truck.
After set-up on a non-permanent foundation, the home usually can be moved to another location in the future. Prior to the adopton of the HUD Code in 1976 these homes were referred to as mobile homes. Since then, they've become manufactured homes. Visit a sales center to see why these attractive homes are the lowest cost per square foot, and the greatest housing value. Modular Homes
Modular homes are also built in factories and must be inspected by state and local code enforcers. They're transportated on flat bed trucks to site.
Permanently set on a foundation, modular homes can be single story, or more and placed using a crane. We sell modular homes, which are less expensive to construct than site-built homes, but can look virtually the same inside and out. Some consumers inaccurately refer to modular and manufactured homes as prefab homes, a non-industry term.
Park Model Homes
Classified as a recreational vehicle that is transportable, park model homes are primarily designed for placement at a destination rather than towed back-and-forth. Because of their 12-foot width, they are hauled on wheels by "wide load" permit trucks. They must remain under 400 sq. ft. Yes, we sell park models. » Park Model Floor Plans. .
Travel Trailer These recreation vehicles are towed by a suitable pick-up truck, SUV or van, or can be motorized (motor home RV). We do not sell trailers and they are not in the same class as a foundation-placed manufactured or modular home.
